Job Summary

The Accounts Trainee will be responsible for supporting the finance and accounting functions of Bondrich Advisory Group Ltd. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build a career in accounting and financial management within a professional services firm. The trainee will assist in bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and payroll support, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including processing invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries.

Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

Perform bank reconciliations and verify the accuracy of transactions in the general ledger.

Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses for internal and client projects.

Support payroll processing by collating timesheets, calculating deductions, and preparing pay slips.

Help with the preparation of tax returns (VAT, PAYE, WHT) and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.

Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems for financial documents and receipts.

Assist in internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and schedules.

Monitor accounts receivable and payable, following up on outstanding balances.

Collaborate with the finance team to identify process improvements and implement best practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.

No prior experience required; however, internships or attachments in an accounting/finance role are an added advantage.

Basic understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP9 or similar) is a plus.

Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
